Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organisation named official sponsor of 3rd Hydrogen in Africa

Egypt hosting Hydrogen-Africa Conference boosts the continent’s opportunities to export clean energy to Europe

Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, Chairman of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organisation and former Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Cairo’s hosting of the 3rd International Hydrogen in Africa Exhibition and Conference.

The event is organized by the German organization Afrika-Verein in cooperation with INP Egypt and Master Point for conference and exhibition management and will take place on 28 and 29 October, following two successful editions in Hamburg.

This came during his meeting with Eng. Alaa Kamal, Vice President of the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of INP Egypt; Mohamed Sweid, Chairman of Master Point; and Ramy Galal, the conference’s media coordinator.

El-Orabi announced that the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization will officially sponsor the conference, which he said enhances Africa’s opportunities to invest in, produce, and export clean energy to the European Union.

He noted that the event will serve as a platform for governments, investors, and experts to come together.

For his part, Eng. Alaa Kamal, Vice President of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, stated that the Hydrogen-Africa Conference and Expo aims to broaden investment horizons and encourage European hydrogen-consuming companies to collaborate with African nations.

Kamal added that Egypt was chosen to host the event due to the government’s commitment to expanding clean energy production, incentives it provides for implementing such projects, and its strong relations and strategic partnerships with the European Union.

For more than 90 years, the German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein) has been dedicated to fostering strong economic ties between Germany and Africa.
