Ceasefire in Libya
The Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization hails the two statements issued by the Presidential Council and the House of Representatives in Libya regrding ceasing fire and stopping military operations in the entire Libyan territory. AAPSO considers this as an important step towards achieving a political settlement and the aspirations of Libyan people to restore stability and prosperity in Libya and to save its people destiny, and towards setting agreed arrangements for the comprehensive resumption of oil production and export operations and the management of its revenues for the benefit of all Libyans. Therefore, AAPSO calls for the immediate implementation of both parties' call on "lifting the embargo on oil production and export and implementing the financial guidelines mentioned in both statements."
Declaration AAPSO Endorses Al-Ibrahami Initiative "In Support of the Palestinian People"
The Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization declares its support for the initiative launched by the veteran politician and former Algerian Foreign Minister, Al-Akhdar Al-Ibrahimi. It is an international initiative to support the Palestinian people in recovering and defending their rights.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
On 6th August 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima by US air forces. This was the first time a nuclear weapon had ever been used; the fireball created by the bomb destroyed 13 square kilometres of the city, and those dead as a result numbered up to 180,000.
Aggravation of the situation in Libya
In light of the dangerous conditions in Libya, AAPSO expresses its deep concern about the military escalation, which increases the crisis situation in Libya and threatens the security and stability of the neighboring countries of Libya and the region, including the Mediterranean area.
Moscow Declaration
On November 29, 2019, the International Committee for Supporting Palestinian People met in Moscow, Russia capital, in the presence of: AAPSO President, AAPSO Secretary-General, President of International Committee for Supporting Palestinian People, Secretary-General of International Committee for Supporting Palestinian People, Head of AAPSO’s International Section and representatives from the following countries: the Russian Federation, Japan, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon, Palestine, Nepal, Srilanka.
