International Round table on
"The possibility of building an unconstraint
economy in the era of globalization"
27-28 September 2005

We have seen the continuous process of the repercussion of globalization in different fields of life around the world. We can differentiate - from the economic perspective - between entities (governments and multinational companies) that dominate globalization and taking full advantage from its dynamics and other countries which have failed to cope with the positive trends of globalization. In spite of the condition of globalization, there are countries which have taken independent path for the development and upliftment of their people and economies.

This raises an important question of the possibility of an alternative path for the developing countries to achieve real economic progress and to what extent there should be a difference between the needs of real economic progress and requirements imposed by globalization. This paradigm needs to review and discuss the problematic, experiences and possibilities of unconstraint economy in the developing countries.

AAPSO has therefore decided to organize an international roundtable from this perceptive under the theme. "The possibility of building an unconstraint economy in the era of globalization" on 27-28 September 2005, in Cairo, Egypt with the participation of experts from Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.

Sub - themes:

1- Directions and repercussion of globalization especially on the developing countries.
2- Paths and results of the economy of the countries that followed the mechanisms of globalization.
3- Paths and results of the economy of the countries that introduce its independent approach within or in spite of globalization.
4- Resume of discussion.
