Discussion Course

14th of March 2006
In the shadow of the recent developments in the Middle East region,
specially after the Iranian decision of resuming the uranium
fertilization and not to be committed by hanging its nuclear activities,
and with the probabilities increase of launching a precedence stroke
against Iran, under the leadership of the USA in its war against
terrorism as it describes Iran as the first country which supports the
terrorism.. and that the Iranian regime is moving to possess nuclear
weapons; AAPSO decided to hold a discussion course for studying “Reasons
and Motives of the Iranian Nuclear Crisis”. The main speaker is Dr.
Mostafa El-Labbad, the Researcher and Specialist in the Iranian, Turkish
and Middle-Asia Affairs. He will speak in the following axis:

Treaties.
2- The nuclear terrorism and its effect on shaking the stability of the
Middle East region.
3- The situation of the neighbour countries and their reactions of the
nuclear crisis.
4- The suggested solutions and the probabilities of the Security Council
decisions.
5- Vision of the Iranian side and its probable reply.
With respect,
Nouri Abdul Razzak, Secretary-General

The change and reform issue is the first concern of the Egyptian public
opinion with all its directions. Also the sudden crisis, which come

democratic transformation issue, in the frame of the current political
environment, is a complex issue which makes necessary the objective and
practical study. For this, AAPSO and the African Organization (PAGWASH)
saw that it is important to hold a study seminar on this issue.

Meeting with the Permanent Secretariat of AAPSO
AAPSO Permanent Secretariat has invited Mr. Mufid Al Jazaery, - the
Former Minister of Cultural in Iraq - to discuss with its members the
latest developments in Iraq on 13/2/2006.
The meeting had started by a welcoming note by Mr. Nouri Abdul Razzak -
AAPSO Secretary General - who raised three main issues of highly
importance to Arab and Iraqi people, as follow: The political and
sovereign capability of Iraqi government, the role of national Iraqi
forces in Iraq, the situation of Iraqi culture through the huge
conflicts between heritage and culture on one hand, and the racist,
religious and ethnic concepts that form the recent cultural thoughts on
the other hand.
Mr. Mufid Al Jazaery reviewed the Iraqi situation as follows:
The consequences of Saddam’s policy on Iraq and how he involved Iraqi
people in wars. During his rule, people were suffering from harsh
conditions imposed on them from inside or outside.
Saddam encouraged the differences between religious ethnic and sectarian
groups that became obvious after he was toppled from power and through
the occupation of the U.S. This disposed a new Iraq divided among Sunni,
Shia's and Kurds. The floor now is devoted to religious sectarianism and
racist fields, not to the political work and visions. This paved the way
to the US to play on the ethnic conflicts easily.
He also spoke about the Iraqi opposition to U.S. invasion of Iraq.
Now, after this invasion, Americans attempts to find ways and means to
deal with Iraqi people in the ongoing situation.
Iraqi people find the political resistance more effective than the armed
one, which needs certain conditions that are not available at present.
In addition, Iraqi people require the existence of security forces and
army, as soon as possible to replace the multinational forces mainly the
US and to make their withdrawal feasible, and that is being postponed by
Americans.
Mr. Mufid criticized some clauses mentioned in the present Iraqi
constitution which don’t permit all Iraqi people to enjoy their human
rights particularly women’s rights.
Mr. Mufid ended his speech by referring to the necessity of establishing
national unity government in which all political forces could
participate in decision making, implementing these decisions and
evaluate them in a real democratic and concrete way.

His Excellency
The Ambassador of Philippines to Egypt in Cairo
Your Excellency,
It is regret and sorrow that we read about the great tragedy that
occurred in the Latin district in Philippines where a huge mudslide
destroyed eleven villages.
The more tragic is that an entire school with children and staffs were
submerged under the mud several meters bellow.
Despite enormous efforts only a handful were able to be rescued. AAPSO
extends its deep condolences to your Excellency, to the government and
the people of Philippines.
Your sincerely,
Nouri Abdulrazzak
Secretary General of AAPSO

Passing Away of a Knight
A knight of the forty’s knights and one of the most prominent
strugglers for the liberation, democracy and social justice has
passed away. Till the end of his life, he was holding his soul
for expressing his will, what he sees and what he is convinced
of whatever who is agreeing or disagreeing with him. He was a
quiet and polite fighter but he was a stubborn, clear and brave
one. At last, the fighter passed away to relax.
The path was long and difficult, its pains and sorrows were more
than its joys and happiness; a path since the Second World War
and the division of the world into two camps, till the era of
globalization and the autocracy of the one pole by hegemony over
the world; since the era of kingdom till after the republic by
more than 50 years.
The path was long and the knight made great progress as a pivot
in the rank of the leftists.
Mohammed Sayed Ahmed had a distinctive role in contributing in
the activities of AAPSO. His contribution started since the 70s
as he was a member of the Presidency Committee of Disarmament in
AAPSO. Also, he participated in a lot of the important
activities of AAPSO, like the session of the UN for Disarmament
on 1982.
He was a member in AAPSO delegation in the meeting of the
Non-Alignment Movement on 1983, at New Delhi.
Also, he participated in a lot of the economical meetings of the
UN.
He had attended the meetings of AAPSO Leading Board and he
contributed in drawing its policy towards peace, disarmament and
peaceful living.
He played a very important role in the economical program of
AAPSO.
That was some of his work in our organization, the Afro-Asian
Peoples’ Solidarity Organization.
Our loss is great when he passed away.
May God rest his soul and may his place be in paradise.
May God give his family patience and solace.

Israeli-Palestinian Dialogue Committee
Freedom of Expression Does Not Mean
Defamation Impudence
With the strong and true wave of protests from millions in the Islamic
and Arab worlds against the offending drawings for the Holly Prophet
which were published in some of the European journals, we were shocked
again by offensive sentences about Prophet Mohammed, it was written by
dirty hands of some of the Israeli settlers on the wall of a mosque in
Al-Nabey Danial village, at the West Bank.
We strongly denounce these horrible acts and we are asking to arrest who
did this and to be subjected to the court for getting their just
retaliation. Also, we are asking the provinces which did so, to present
a full and clear apology, as we can be as before. We are asking to not
abuse the freedom of expression, which they enunciate over carefully,
and impudently defaming the divine religions and the prophets who
called, always and forever, for the forgiveness and fraternity between
all the human beings everywhere.
