Report on the Activities of AAPSO's
Permanent Secretariat

During May,
the Permanent Secretariat of the Afro-Asian Peoples Solidarity
Organization had organised some activities and had participated in
others inside and outside Egypt. They are as follow:
First: Activities organised by AAPSO's Permanent Secretariat:
Meeting
of the Egyptian Part of the Arab Social Forum Secretariat The meeting
discussed: missions of the Forum's committees and its work behavior,
the International and Regional Forums 2005 - 2006, what happened in
Porto Allegre and addressing the NGOs.

Preparatory Meeting in Cairo with the Venezuelan Ambassador and Dr.
Raouf Hamed. It was about the preparation for the Round Table of "The
Possibility of Making unconstraint Economic".

Africa Day, on 24/5/2005
The
American exceedings overpass all the limits.
Second: Activities in which AAPSO's Permanent Secretariat participated
inside Egypt:
The
High-Level Arab Preparatory Conference to prepare the Second Stage of
the World Summit about the Information Society. The conference discussed
the march of the preparatory operation for the second stage of the
Summit (Tunis 2005), with the different issues in it and it reviewed
what the preparatory meetings hold in its frame had reached. Also, it
reviewed the spared efforts of the Arab team of work that is charged to
prepare for the summit and its outpouring groups.
7-10/5/2005, at the Arab League
Conference
of the Woman and the Syndicates "Formalism .. Challenges .. Chances".
The
conference discussed the formalism, chances and challenges of the woman
in the syndicalism work and it discussed two axis: is that a law crisis
or a cultural one? And the second about, the situation of the political
movements from supporting the woman in the syndicates.
